Kugel Motion is pleased to announce a successful transition from the aerospace quality standard AS9100 revision C to revision D.
This milestone occurred in March, meaning that both Kugel sites; Barnstaple, Devon and the Kugel headquarters in Nottingham are both covered by the AS9100 revision D standard.

Kugel Aerospace & Defence manufacture ø75x20mm 6-start planetary roller screw.
At Kugel Aerospace & Defence, our engineering team are always keen to be challenged and the manufacture of a 75mm diameter multi-start planetary roller screw was our most recent engineering challenge, and our largest precision thread ground screw to date.
Our solution was to manufacture the screw with specially designed tooling, enabling us to manufacture 3 starts at once, meaning that the machine only needed to index 180° to achieve the required 6 starts.
